I've just installed the sbb jdk rpm and I notice that
the .java_wrapper script is written to assume that
the entire jdk ie. lib and bin is under a common parent.
that's not the case with the rpm I installed and consequently
.java_wrapper (who's ever idea it is) doesn't work.
changes are trivial
I think most jdk releases from javasoft are installed under a common
parent and their supporting scripts assuming this. The
jdk-sbb-1.1.6-2.1.2glibc.i386.rpm package that I just
installed has decided to rearrange things like the following
./usr/bin/jdk-1.1.6
./usr/doc/jdk-sbb-1.1.6
This is a little vague for me.
Supposing I have a RedHat tree on a FAT filesystem ...
What does it mean by
[Intel Systems: If you are using a DOS filesystem, you will not be able to
use the full Linux filenames for the RPM packages. The installation
process does not care what the filenames
Would like to pick up 5.1 locally since I'm in hurry.
Does anybody know any retailers in the NoVA/DC area?
