I'm working on a 6 meter split site 6 meter repeater. I have linking radios,
however I need a good working low band mastr 2 100 watt radio only. I don't
need any accessories. I'm trying to find one near central NY to save on
shipping costs. Any one got one to sell?
Thanks,

I've used GE mastr 2. swap out UHF receive section with a VHF receiver.
Duplex radio and your all set. Lots of guys do this for split site 6 meter
repeaters. I think you can find that info on the repeater-builder website
some where.

I have a kenwood tk-372G I need to program. Have cable and software. Can't
get radio into programming mode. Not sure if I'm pushing the right buttons
when I turn it on. I also read there may be a diode that needs to be
removed. Can any one steer me in the right direction?
Thanks,

Here's a quick and simple way to tell if there's another repeater some where
and what freqs. the current one is on. Just turn off the ones you've found
and see what radios no longer bring up the repeater. Then you'll know if
it's bus, police, or maintenance.

John,
I'm e-mailing this directly as well as the group so the attachment comes
through (I think yahoo strips them off). I'm using a hustler G-7 on 2 meters
and a G-6 on 440 machine. Both have been up on the tower for 2 years. Both
have worked fine with no problems. They both are mount on a cross
Working on hooking a rigblaster nomic to a Icom 25a mobile radio for
echolink. The Icom key line needs to be pulled to ground to key the radio.
The nomic is only making it down to 1.5 volts. It's enough to make the tx
led on the radio come on but not down low enough to actual key the radio.

Gerais,
Try checking e-bay. Last week there was a bunch of just the 100 watt mastr 2
pa units for sale. Here is a link of one that's on there now. Not involved
with auction just passing on info I've found.

Any one know what or how a kenwood tk-710 VHF mobile radio is programmed? I
have cables for kenwoods but can't find any software. This is an older
radio. Maybe it still has crystals? Google is not my friend this time!

Paul,
I have a set up on my tower like your thinking of doing. I have a 2 meter
and 440 machine. The wireless 900 MHz antenna is on the very top position of
the tower. ( I let them have the top so they could take all the lighting
hits) Under that about 15 feet are the 2 meter and 440 antennas
Thanks to all that replied with suggestions for my linking problem. With
all the answers you gave I was able to resolve the problem. The first
mistake was in one radio I forgot to put a load across the speaker
connections as I wasn't using one. ( the other radio I did. must have been

Thanks for all of the suggestions. However I think you guys are missing
the problem. Both repeaters work fine when they are not linked together. As
stand alone machines they work fine and the audio sounds fine. Once I turn
on the secondary port on the NHRC-4/m2 is when the noise occurs. I'm
Hi All,
I'm having a problem linking two mastr 2 radios together. I have one site

on one of the Astrons and the problem goes away, it will be an important
clue.
Good luck!

Gervais,
I usually type just GE in when I'm searching. Some times gives you more than
what your looking for. However parts aren't always listed as mastr 2. Doing
it this way gives you everything.

I just tried to program a Icom F-121 VHF radio. I have the the proper cable
and the CS-F100 software. When I tried to clone the info into the radio it
started the process ok. When it gets almost to the end it stops and says I
new a newer version of the software. A google search does not reveal
Found newer version of the software and downloaded. Problem solved. Guess I
should have looked a little harder on google first!
Thanks,

Years ago we had a repeater that was housed in an old refrigerator. As you
know they are well insulated. Had a light bulb hooked to t-stat for keeping
it warm in the winter. In the summer there were fans to move air up and out
the back to keep it cool. That was on a t-stat also. Maybe an idea for
I saw this happen once. Turned out to be a bearcat scanner. the right
combination of IF's and it stopping on the right programmed channel would
lock things up. Sometimes it sounded like a clicking noise as it was
scanning. Just a thought of something to look for.

I guess i should have mention that was my first atempt at repeater building

would have to agree that you would never want to drag a set up like
Hi everyone,
Was wondering if any one is using a telewave model
TPCD-1454 VHF Duplexer on their repeater. Shopping for new duplexer
and have narrowed it down to this one ,TXRX 28-37-02A, and maybe a
sinclair.
Please don't turn this into a flaming war. Just

Russ,

Hi All,
anyone using a hamtronics COR3 with a master
2. I can't seam to get the audio to sound right. It seams to be low
in volume and sounds tinny. Adding resistance and /or caps improves one or the
other but not both. Any body got one of these that has suggestions?
Thanks for the help,
