If I remember correctly, a 228 is two 224s on a double-length mast.  If that is the case, then I suspect that a 224 clamp kit will not be enough for twice the weight and twice the wind loading. I'd plan on fabricating something equivalent to double the 224 kit, then have it galvanized at the
