or this might possibly not be OT.
I am having a problem with numbers (or just characters #,*, etc.) showing up in
the program. There are no random dtmf's coming through via rf. This seems to
happen most time when the repeater may be active, but doesn't happen all the
time. It is setup on
You better check for harmonics. You probably need a harmonic filter.
What frequency is your repeater on?

Norm,
A collection of very informative information is available here:
www.repeater-builder.com/antenna/ant-sys-index.html#iso-cir
As for what an isolator does, it ensures that your PA is working into a good
50 ohm load. If the antenna or feedline breaks, the power that would have
been radiated
I think that the the ham fest was better attended than last year.
It seemed that people seemed to haggle more on prices but I sold

Dayton,
I've been saying that for years about hamfests in general. Throw out all
that rusty hardware - no one will buy it.

I picked up a 220V heater for my garage for $50... The guy wanted $85 and I

Got some other stuff I needed/wanted too.

Thanks so much for the inFo. I have seeb them on some transmit combiners for
UHF and 800mhz, but a VHF one is rare.
I don't think I need one however. I have 2 VHF (2m) ham repeaters on an old
ATT microwave tower. One is 147.225 and the other is 147.000. The 225 is a
100watt Mastr II. The
OK... I have the radios programmed. Thanks to all who helped with that!!
I have noticed the radio is in MONITOR mode (little speaker symbol in
upper left corner of the display). Grounding the mic button to the radio
chassis does NOT clear this. Is there a way to program one of the front

The Super Inn in Lewisburg? Ugh.
Hi All!
I recently received my new RC99 controller by N2HQI. Looks very well
built and the site I ordered it from gave good specs. All would be
perfect had he enclosed a circuit diagram and operating instructions.
Can anyone provide these? Thanks for reading this.

Hello Everyone, I don't know if this group covers this topic, but a UHF-UHF
inband repeater is required , I know an old Kenwood had this facility, but it's
a very rare rig , and I wonder if it's possible to do what we need with a newer
rig or 2* rigs. Has anyone any thoughts on the matter
Nope - Magnuson Hotel in Dayton... right off I-75 just south of I-70. LOTS
of little problems, and management was less that helpful.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to go to Dayton this year but a death in the immediate family plus my
wife's work trip to a distant city precluded this from happening this year.
I've been monitoring the posts about Dayton and it seems that there are some of
you who are unhappy about their sleeping
I don't know what kind of input there is to the Hamvention committee(s), but I
for one would like to see a stronger voice for hams regarding the local hotels.
Picking up on your thread, Don, I did have a nice hotel, but the initial
reservation had my back up against the wall. Everything

My experience with Dayton had to do with reservations.
Several of us get together at Dayton. As nobody in the group had made any
reservations, I stepped forward back in February and reserved 4 rooms. With
this particular chain I had always been able to cancel reservations before 6 PM
I used to stay at the Red Room Inn Dayton North - it is on I-75 about 1/4 mile
south of I-70. Year after year, same type of thing LOTS of little problems,
and management was less that helpful!!
One yaer, the front desk gave our registration to a group that myself and
another had confronted for
That said, this year was MUCH better than last year.
Still, I hope there are many more improvements next year.
Hint: Start planning it NOW and start putting
anything needed for then together NOW.

Do not stay in miamisburg. You will be sorry.
We had 30 messages about drugs on our room voicemail.
Also when my other friend checked in someone said ‘welcome to hell’ to him.
This was at the studio 6 in miamisburg. There also was when the miamisburg PD
almost rear ended my friend who was
