On a seriuos note,I used to use an old powered stereo add-on eq/amp to feed a couple of MastrII speakers which handled 6 radios.Advantage of equalizer was to kill any CTCSS and chop off the highs to reduce hiss and noise-worked very well! The inputs were a mix of cap and xfmr coupled schemes
