Sounds like you might have an old boot loader on the vyex board. Hook your terminal (pc and software to the vyex board and reboot the 7k/w-dab from a power off condition. Look at the vyex start message on the terminal. If it says something like version 1.2, you need to update the lastest

I think that maybe these antennas do not work very well. I have two of them and have tried different mounts, different radio's different frequency, checking cables gnds, mounts connections. The bottom line is I just can't get the swr down enough where I feel safe about it. Maybe it's time to sell
