Here is a link to the S-1320A service manual:

It's a pretty large file, about 16MB, but it's very high resolution.
I'll leave it on the site for a few weeks.

Obviously this requirement does not apply to Amateur Radio, but amateur
repeater coordinators for densely populated areas, i.e. Southern California,
NY-NJ and other areas would do well to start thinking about this looming
situation. Have you tried to get a 2 meter or 440 MHz repeater
Hi all,
just came across this group via a link, joined and have been reading
some interesting posts and replies.
It appears there are some quite knowledgable people in the group.
However, I would like to try setting up a UHF repeater using 2 IC-400
pro's, but have not been able to find any

Hi to all:
I have a Gm600 radio and I would like to program the convetional
channels but when I go in the programmation software I can only
program for the Trunked 1327...
HOW CAN I switch to convetional mode the radio???
thanks to all
Yea - like the majority of hams are going to buy replacement rigs, or
(trying not to burst a seam) modify their rigs for SNFM!
These are the folks who can't even install a CTCSS encoder if their life
depending on it!
Yea - narrowbanding is going to be a real big deal in the ham bands.
Even though it is not a requirement here in CT, I have a narrowband
(12.5 Kc) FM repeater on the air (that has been narrow for almost 3
years now). What I have noticed is that ham rigs can do narrowband and
DPL more and more (the first one I had that was capable of narrow band

Guys,
Thanks for the comments. Hopefully I'll get some more time to work with it
over the holiday and get it up on site. A friend has another MSF-5000 with
the same high 900 Hz PL deviation, he's going to look at a resistor change
or pot addition experiment.

Try this one: Go to www.repeater-builder.com, click on Motorola, scroll
down to The manual for Motorola's S-1318A, S-1319A, S1320A, S1321A
and S1329A Signal Generators.
It's been there for over 4 years.
And when corrected, the mcarcoh link does work - the spaces in it didn't
get properly
The original factory design specification for the MSF5000 PL deviation
is 800 Hz. That is just slightly greater than the 750 Hz. mid point
in the acceptable range of 500 Hz to 1000 Hz as given in TIA-603.
One issue that can cause the PL level to be incorrect is failure to
properly perform the

and lots of them are top of the line commercial equipment with many of them
capable of working without modification on our two meter and 70cm frequency
pairs.
I need information on the 19D416886G2 power amp for a GE
Base Station. The amp is equipped with the c/o relay and
does not have the Z matcher. Tried a search for the LBI,
but it did not come up.
Any help would be appreciated..

But, most top-of-the-line commercial equipment that has been sold for the
last ten years is already programmable for narrow band. Perhaps you're
thinking about low-tier stuff, like the SM-50?

Yep. I don't anticipate much of a flood because of narrowbanding. Now,
states that switch to statewide radio networks could create quite a bunch of
surplus radios.

Doug,
Part Number 19D416886G2 is the component board for the 19C320414G7 Power
Amplifier. This is an intermittent-duty, 65 watt Mastr II station PA for
150.8-174 MHz. The manual you need for this PA is LBI-30413. Alas, it is
not available on the RBTIP GE database.

Thanks, we will definitely go back and look at the mod comp.
