And that was the kind of thing I was referring to. I saw a mobile mount that
used some small diameter heliax (about 1/4) from the antenna to the radio. I
immagine it was for 800-900MHz or something like that.
Basically, I was just curious as to how common and/or practical it might be.

Thanks for posting this.
Dave was one of the great ones. Remember him from the early packet days as well
as building a great computerized repeater system in London, ON.
A sad loss for Amateur Radio.

Dan, have you had any experience using the GE Mastr 11 as a repeater, and if so
what are your thoughts on it.

I think you could use Superflex in a mobile.
But the most advantage of Superflex cables is the shield being 100% not that
they are exceptionally low loss.
For example I like Andrew FSJ1 and FSJ2 for repeaters sites, but for loss, GOOD
braided cable like 9913 or LMR400 specs slightly better.

And what happens if they deploy it in a municipality where there's a 4.9 GHz
mesh network [like Phoenix, AZ]?
Or a 4.9 GHz point-to-point microwave link?
Or in the presence of a 4.9 GHz helicopter downlink?
Frequency selection/coordination is a very big deal, and most of the IT/MBA
types
4.9 is licensed spectrum. If Public Safety has an incident they are engaged
in I think they have the where with all to manage the spectrum.I guess some
of you all just like to worry about stuff. Have at it.

Repeater Link Controller I think. It is basically a LTR controller that you
wire up to a repeater. We have 10 mastr II's out there with them installed and
I have to swap out 6 of them with Mastr III's.

Hi Leroy,
My UHF machine is a 100-watt mastr ii repeater. This has been on the air for
the past 5 years and ran flawlessly. I've worked on many vhf mastr ii's for
fellow repeater owners over the years. Have been used by hams for years and
generally perform very well. Good rf specs, highly

It's already xtal'd up working on a popular ham freq., so that makes it
worth something.

We also need to start planning on where to meet at Dayton...
I know about the Brat wagon but for some reason, we just didn't make the
connection last year.
So where's the location gonna be this year? Any special way to reach out
and make contact (radio freq, smoke signals, etc.)??

Hello all.
I have a UHF msr2000 exciter that does not want to play nice.
It was working on its original frequency of 461.100 and drove the PA at 100
watts.
I am trying to move it to 440.300 I have followed the steps in the Moto manual
for peak and dip. peak and dip. done this about 6 times.
I am working on adding a controller to an S-7R UHF repeater. I do not have the
manual for it. It has a simple controller which I understand has to be
bypassed. I pulled off the two header connectors going to the controller
which, of course, disabled it. I made up a wiring harness using the
