Really that's odd; we can definitely add a [test] on next release; or
please go ahead and commit it if you can.

Thanks,

We should try and consolidate all these different bug trackers. It's a
mess. Too bad we don't have the proper top-level name for this. I
don't know that I agree with the name chameleon-template-engine.

chameleon.genshi was merged into Chameleon 1.2.0.

Hmm, it occurs to me that even if the [test] extra_requires was there, I
don't know how to feed that into:

python setup.py develop

Any ideas?

[Repoze-dev] repoze.who LDAP plugin 1.1 Alpha 1 is out

2010-06-03 Thread Gustavo Narea
Hello,

I'm pleased to announce that a new release of the repoze.who LDAP plugin is
available:
http://code.gustavonarea.net/repoze.who.plugins.ldap/

The following features have been implemented by Lorenzo Catucci of the
University of Rome Tor Vergata:
- Changed the license to the Repoze license.
- Provided start_tls option both for the authenticator and the metadata
provider.
- Enable both pattern-replacement and subtree searches for the naming
attribute in _get_dn().
- Enabled configuration of the naming attribute
- Enabled the option to bind to the server with privileged credential before
doing searches
- Added a restrict pattern to pre-authentication DN searches
- Let the user choose whether to return the full DN or the supplied login as
the user identifier.

This is a backwards compatible release and we're looking forward to getting
feedback about the new features.

Because I'm no longer maintaining this plugin actively [1], I depend on your
feedback to know if/when we're ready for a final 1.1 release. If I get no or
little feedback, I'll do a final release in a few months without changes to
this alpha release.

Enjoy!

 Hi,
Is anyone planning any Repoze EuroPython sprints?

While I will be giving an introductory talk on BFG on Wednesday afternoon
(looks like it's been scheduled to suit my offer of free beer afterwards)
I won't be around for any sprints. Four days of conference away from the
daylight in what might be the heat of the English summer is enough for me.
But I do like the idea of a general WSGI get together.

We should probably propose it on Web-SIG mailing list then.

Sure. Like I said, I won't be sticking around for any sprints in
Birmingham (got to see the family and stuff). I am going to try and get
some BFG beer sorted for the conference.

I hope there are enough of us at the DZUG bash in Dresden in September.

+1

Gustavo: If you submit a r.who / plugin sprint, I'll sign up! We have
a few apps running behind r.who so I have a bit of a vested interest
in seeing it stay up to date.
