Re: RB Security Concern

I can see that ReviewBoard uses http to login, and not https. I am no expert in these matters, but according to my old knowledge this means that the username and password is being sent in clear text on Broadcom intranet. This seems a bit unsafe to me, especially considering that we now use windows passwords. Is this how RB works? Is there a work around? Kunjal -- Want to help the Review Board project? Re: Can't seem to create repository from within reviewboard
After some trial and error, I've been able to determine this error is due to file write permission in the directory I had my local repo. Error - linking RB to a git repo located in /home/user/git repo. Success - linking RB to a git repo located in /var/sub directory/ git repo. Hope this helps someone else out. This is a really nice tool. I must commend everyone who's worked on this. On Dec 11, 3:52 am, Christian Hammond chip...@chipx86.com wrote: Sounds like a bug in one of our nightlies. I'm trying to setup RB with GIT and mysql on Ubuntu karmic. I've loaded the latest nightly build (Review Board v1.1 alpha 2) and RB web pages come up just fine. Both the review and admin pages are served properly. Looks like a really nice tool. However when I try to manually create a Repository from the Admin page I get the following error message from the webpage: Add repository Please correct the error below. * global name '_' is not defined * I've tried searching the google groups for this error and don't see anything. * I've also tried re-installing the alpha release a few times but still get this error message.
