Re: Poll: How will you be affected if we remove IE6 support?
Hello, No one at our organization who uses Review Board uses IE6. I believe we all use Firefox 3. I want to thank everyone who replied, and if you haven't yet we'd still love your input! We had some good comments on the subject. It seems that while most places have moved past IE6 at this point or are willing to, there are still several who can't upgrade at this point. So I'll continue to work on improving our story for IE6 support. We do want to move away from it eventually, though, so we may revisit this after IE8 is out (as IE6 will be somewhere between 5 and 6 years old at that point). Re: Poll: How will you be affected if we remove IE6 support?
Hi, As backwards as it sounds, some of the developers in my project are still using IE6 - and so is pretty much all management for that matter (it's what comes by default in our workstation installations, it's what they use). In any case, ceasing support doesn't sound too unreasonable. Might actually give, at least to the developers, a reason to upgrade. Re: Poll: How will you be affected if we remove IE6 support?
Moving to IE 6 would be difficult, if not impossible. Also, we're looking at expanding the use of Review Board to other groups within our organization and removing IE6 support would definitely hamper that effort.
