Re: RBTools 0.2 RC 1 released

2010-02-14 Thread Christian Hammond
There are always more things that can be fixed or added, but at some point
we have to make the decision to put out a release. It means the things that
have been in development the past several months can finally make it to a
wider audience. It doesn't mean that older patches won't make it in after
the release, though.

ClearCase is difficult for us to support and test because we don't have
access to a server we can test against. It's a commercial product and Review
Board fights to stay out of the red every year as it is, financially, as we
rely on donations to keep the project funded. So we rely on third parties to
test and enhance our ClearCase support.

As for this particular patch, it was never posted to
http://reviews.reviewboard.org, which is where we require all patches to go.
Because of that, it was missed. Hopefully we'll get it properly reviewed and
in before the final 0.2. If not, there are always point releases.

Christian

Re: RBTools 0.2 RC 1 released

2010-02-14 Thread Jan Koprowski
"post-review has gained a new --diff-filename option for specifying a
diff file to upload, instead of generating a new diff. This can be
useful for automation and third party integration purposes. Passing
"-" as the filename will cause post-review to read from stdin."

100 points for this option. This is what I needed! Grate feature! This
is genius and making post-review extremely wide useful and elastic!
Really good move.

2010-02-14 Thread Jan Koprowski
And what with issues like this:
http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=1423?
They are old and patches for work well but no one add it to this
release.
