Re: [Ring] Ring Update under serveral OS's
is there a way on all clients to check the actually installed ring version? and the version that is recommend for this device as well? know that fdroid supports such a feature for their "installed apps" view. on GNOME it's easy to find the version number in "about" section all the best!
Re: [Ring] Ring Update under serveral OS's
one friend told me, that she installed ring on windows 7, then updated windows to 10. and told me that the first option * Windows (Win32), macOS: Ring has an embedded updater, can be forced by using menu -> check for update ist not existing. since she installed ring for windows 7 before, there is no update option you mentioned in option 2 * Windows (UWP): Ring updated through the Windows Store Any idea how she could manage to geht the latest version of Ring without losing her account & contacts/conversations all the best!

Or do i have to start them manually using Windows Store? > * iOS: Ring updated through the App Store > * Android: Ring updated through the Play Store What about F-Droid here? > > Best regards, > Adrien > > > De: cl37m...@studserv.uni-leipzig.de > À: ring@gnu.org > Envoyé: Dimanche 15 Avril 2018 06:16:13 > Objet: [Ring] Ring Update under serveral OS's > > Hej there! > > On Linux/GNOME it easy to update Ring automatically using my repositories. > > But my friends on Windows (7,10) & Mac/iOS don't now how to do that. On Linux/GNOME it easy to update Ring automatically using my repositories. But my friends on Windows (7,10) & Mac/iOS don't now how to do that. They are concerned that they have to to reinstall everything and then will lose their contacts/settings as well. As i am not using these platforms: What advice should i give?
