Finally got around to building a new pc. I got ubuntu loaded, but I'm
unclear where to get a copy of Rivendell, and exactly what to do to install it.
Can someone point me somewhere?

Les,
look at:
http://debian.tryphon.eu/
I generally install my debian and ubunto rivendells from their repositories.
I can't seem to find the page of instructions I normally use this morning
but this page may help enough:
http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/Install_under_Debian
all the best,
The instructions are here:
http://www.tryphon.eu/en/blog/2012/01/05/rivendell-2.1.2-debian-ubuntu/
It's pretty straightforward. It's the only way I have to get RD running
without struggling with missing dependencies and
hardware issues.

For a future rivendell update, is it possible to put a volume control
on the cart to adjust the cart volume up with an up triangle or
volume down with a down triangle?
It's possible, but by the time the audio gets there it should be perfect.
Hi all,
I'm using the Tryphon repository for my Linux Mint install of RD and
working very well. Where can I find pre-compiled versions of the Windows
tools, RDLogEdit etc?
The WIKI points to the old ftp.salemradio but long gone.
Thanks Richard

Hardware set-up is one thing, and not properly within the context
of Rivendell proper.
This is largely a function of the audio driver setup in use. For ASI cards, a
(relatively small) amount of trim for the analog ports can be applied
I wonder if having 2 client computers simultaneously editing different
date logs (belonging to the same station) works?
Had a feeling it didn't. Basically I just need a yes or no for the new
owners.
Many thanks,
