Ardour is an audio processor with some MIDI facilities added on. Rosegarden is a MIDI processor with some audio facilities added on. And I mostly do MIDI and scores. Although I suspect my system (i9 processor, 64GB RAM, Nvidia graphics) probably wouldn't complain about CPU load in Ardour. -- David W. Rosegarden does the MIDI and scoring I need. For a final, complete, beautiful score, I use MuseScore.
