No. nouveau causes system hangs on most of NVIDIA cards. Proprietary
drivers for the all NVIDIA cards are mandatory.

I started the sentence with "if", "if glib1 and gtk+ will be removed"
As news, I was going to write that everything is just depending on
xmms, so the question is not about retire glib1 and gtk+ but is about
retire xmms XD
normalize depends on flac and flac have a sub package with xmms
depe
Good luck with building normalize once glib1 and gtk+ are retired.
FTR faad2 dropped xmms support a couple of years ago.

I deduced this by the normalize.spec, but really without xmms sub-
pakcge and without glib1 does not build .
Hopefully we have python-ffmpeg-normalize package isn't it ?
