Re: [rt-users] Adding quicksearch widget to SelfService view
Hi Kevin, thank you, Works like a charm. Is there any way to limit this in Selfservice to queues available to the user as in the normal view? As right now i can see all queues altho the user has rights for only one. If i give privilages to this user on the normal site i can only see that one queue in the quicksearch. [rt-users] SOS - RT 4.0.1 wont work after restarting the server from a power outage
Hi all, Our server got a crash from a power outage, after restarting our RT jumps to the /Install/index.html site, with only one message: Config file /opt/rt/etc/RT_SiteConfig.pm is locked I found out if I give write permission to the SiteConfig, it will go into the install procedure, but I don't want that, as this RT instance is in full production now. Re: [rt-users] Customize Ticket History
hi John, i do something like what you need in the ticket.css: just add visibility:hidden in the unnecessary div's css. Do mind that RT uses the same CSS for a couple of places (like the ticket's main tab uses the same as ticket history tab) so if you flush it, it'll be gone from both places. If thats a problem you would probably need to branch your /Ticket/display.html and /ticket/history.html to point to different Ticket/elements/showhistory and add div tags so you can differentiate. Hope this helps, this is how i do it, maybe not the best, bot it works for us (= Regards, Daniel O.T. -Original Message- From: rt-users-boun...@lists.bestpractical.com [mailto:rt-users-boun...@lists.bestpractical.com] On Behalf Of john s. Re: [rt-users] View queue via the web w/o ticket creation ability
Hi Kevin, This account would be used by the regular staff to view the queue and see if their particular ticket has been worked on or view the other queue submission (IT transparency-YAY L). So this account would be the requestor of all these tickets? This is not much info about your RT usage and layout, so i can only do a hint maybe: something like this could be the solution: revoke the global create ticket right from everyone group add createticket on queue qroupright level to every queue to everyone, except this one add create ticket to neccessary ppl only on this queue but this would only work if everyone is not needed to subbmit to this particular queue. Not looking for the self service option, but for a privileged user to view a particular queue. This account would be used by the regular staff to view the queue and see if their particular ticket has been worked on or view the other queue submission (IT transparency-YAY L). I know that in order to allow tickets to be created the CreateTicket permission has to be given to Everyone. Like most permission schemes, is there a permission override option for everyone where I could explicitly state that a particular doesn't have the right to create a ticket, but everyone else does? So far everything else works, but I've been trying to figure out a variety of ways to do this, but keep coming up short. Thanks in advance. image001.png 2011 Training: http://bestpractical.com/services/training.html
[rt-users] Mobile interface Questions
Hi all, There is a login in /m/ but i only get redirected to the mobile IF after loging in on the normal IF.. is this on purpose, or my RT is missconfigured somewhere? Also, there is no mobile selfservice right? Would this be possible by adding a branching logic to /m/index.html to use not _elements/menu but for example /_elements/self/menu etc? Based on if the one who is loging in is privilaged or not? (Or i just wish this would be so simple? (= ) Thank you. Regards, Daniel O.T. 2011 Training: http://bestpractical.com/services/training.html

HI, apache2 uses by default www-data group (as far as i know, by default) my maison_data/obj is: owned by www-data (www-data) has readwrite Group: www-data has readwrite others: none so it would be a chmod -R 660 /maison_data/obj and a chown -R www-data:www-data /maison_data/obj Hope this helps.
