actually, if you want a light weight, extremely strong foam core, youshould look
into poly-iso , it is sold by roofing suppliers, not sure about the big boxes,

The black one is the modified, Athearn “HO” tower that was actually S except
for ladders and railing, which I replaced (the white one is the “before”).
