Hi all, after several attempts I was able to produce a Sage-3.4.1dmg the contents of which are "drag-and-droppable", and the issue should not arise again (knock on wood) for future versions of Sage. Sorry for that! I expect Sage 3.4.2 to be out before the end of the week, so you might want to

Mea culpa maxima. The folder /sage/spkg in the .dmg (and its contents) are uncopyable. Keepers of the oracle, is something going to be done about this? The problem is not present with the intel version. David Galant On May 2, 11:15 pm, nickname wrote: > Thank you very much! This may have worked

Thank you very much! This may have worked. When first started, sage complained about not have the folder "spkg". In fact, it did not and I just added the older one from 3.4. I hope that's OK. armand On May 2, 3:08 pm, curious wrote: > This problem is just that the folder sage in the dmg cannot

This problem is just that the folder sage in the dmg cannot be copied. However, the contents of the folder _can_ be copied, so the solution is to create a folder somewhere on the machine hard disk (or an external disk) and copy the contents of the folder sage on the dmg to the new folder. David G

This problem is not unique, I am having the identical problem. No my system is not screwed up, nor is it anything to to with intel/powerpc mixup. When I click on the sage folder in the .dmg file, my cursor turns into to the international circle-with-slash. Downloaded several times, and tried to dr

Look in Console (in your Utilities Folder - cmd-shift-u). There might be something related in there. On 2/05/2009, at 2:31 PM, nickname wrote: > When I say I cannot move the sage folder, I mean, it just jumps back > into the .dmg package with NO complaints or error messages. I have no > evidenc

When I say I cannot move the sage folder, I mean, it just jumps back into the .dmg package with NO complaints or error messages. I have no evidence of any problem with my OSX (I downloaded 3.4 about 3 or 4 weeks ago with no problems). I also re- downloaded both with Firefox and with Safari. Always

As said in my email, it is not possible to move the sage folder out of the .dmg container. Also, the only to move this non-working .dmg into the trash is to force Finder to quit and restart! Thank you. On May 1, 5:02 pm, mabshoff wrote: > On May 1, 12:06 pm, nickname wrote: > > Hi, > > > I
