if you shove a tv tuner or a vga card with a tv encoder - although
most of the bundled software with the vga card and tv encoders wont
allow you to view fullscreen the image you are recording - a bit naff
tv tuners do but not many support analog or digital subtitles or text
features yet - or integ
Yes Aley although my TV does the same thing with the scart! (flicks on and off)

and buy a proper fully featured LCD/LED TV set, you can get not only better
picture, but also a standard scart input on it. And you won't need to stick
with third party HDMI converters etc.

The Pin-outs are in the back of the normal manual, and the tech manual but here

I think I an was saying that most SCART input sockets
don't tend to use the r,g,b signals but just use the composite
video so if you wire a lead with the r, g, b, sound, and
composite video signals connected, then that could be three
wires wasted

The outward pins are the same but since the Sam does not accept incoming
video it has used the pins for various other purposes - so it's not a
