okay... well i've sort of resolve the problem... in that I can upload the
profile on logout and i can browse the samba mapped drive.
however, I'm still getting the error about the offline caching in winxp.
anyone have any clue on this one?

We had a severe problem with samba with very large directories, e.g. 100,000
files. The file copy speed is becoming slower and slower, and it is a few
times slower compared with the data when the files to be copied are already on
