Well all i can say is that we implemented samba quite
succesfull at our school.. we have aprox 800/1000 users..
but we used Mysql as backend..
within the mysqltables, we added an extra printer field, for the
account printing..
now when one of our studends prints, it send it to a custem build
Dunno, try to comment out all mysql collumns..
(mysql:host -till- mysql:unknow_3)
and fire up your debug level.. to get more info..

I have setup a local network where Windows 98
workstations authenticates against a samba
server PDC running on linux, and it is working.
But there is a little annoyance: Windows 98
is handling 2 passwords:
1) the network password (used with the samba PDC)
2) the windows password (used

Winbind appears to be working, and you can use the commands getent group

del C:\windows\*.pwl from a DOS prompt, then log the user in. When it asks
for the password the second time, make sure it's blank and click on OK. You
won't have to go through this again.
