i need a migration script from smbpasswd-file to a ldap database. I
searched a lot in google in the archive, but found only hints for
changing the perl scripts of padl migration scripts.
I have only poor perl knowledge, so i ask here, if anybody made a script

If you're having problems then I'd scale back on all the changes. Basically
I'd install the 3.0.10 software, copy over the smb.conf and first see if that
works. I'd then do the domain name, switch to ldap finally to the rename.

Modify your smb.conf file to include the necessary ldap parameters and then
set the LDAP secret password with smbpasswd -w.
Then use pdbedit to export your users to the LDAP database, like so:
pdbedit -i smbpasswd -e ldapsam

out the problem. I know there were problems 3.0.8 with robocopy and a

But this isn't GPOs. With regedit or policies you can screw up a machines
registry,
domain admin and admin user are two different things. Look closely at the
documentation.
