Hi all,
I have some problems with dynamic DNS updating.
Samba 3.4.7
Windows 2003 sp2
# net ads dns register -P
DNS Update failed!
With debug ( -d9 ) I get this:

ads_sasl_spnego_bind: got OID=1.3.6.1.4.1.311.2.2.10
Anyone with views on this? How do you monitor that your file servers can
connect to your domain controllers?

Hi all,
I'm trying to use DFS. Using smbclient 3.4.7 (distributed with Lucid) and

Smbclient successfully lookups up our DCC's. If the first in the DNS reply is a
2003 server it works but if I get a 2008 it doesn't.
The main differences is that I

hi all,
I am having a problem with the samba packaged by Openindiana 147.
It is setup to use winbind, a ldap backend and to be an AD member.
Computers trying to authenticate themselves fail when samba negotiates

Hi,
I have recently upgraded a system with a Samba BDC, PDC and a couple of
member servers from 3.2.14 to 3.4.9 (and also tested with 3.5.6).
There appears to be some problem with Winbind (we need to run it on all
servers as we have a trust relationship to a domain at another office).

I have a strange problem, if any one might have a direction it would be
great.
I am using Samba 3.0.37 (on a Red Hat machine) as a domain member in windows
2008 R2 domain (2008 R2 functionality level). My client is windows 7, that
is configured for Send NTLMv2 response only (the default)
I have copied the samba-technical list because this is a samba 4 question.

When I was on samba 3.0.x, idmap entries would populate for each domain
