hello,
I have just gone from samba 2 to 3.0.4. I have compiled succesfully and
wanted to test that smbclient was working as it had for the previous
version.
When I run smbclient //samba host/username it returns the following
session setup failed: NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO
logs show:
Hi,
I'm am trying to compile Samba 3.0.4 with ADS suuport on solaris 8. I have
installed/compiled:
cyrus-sasl-1.5.28
db-4.2.52.NC
krb5-1.3.3
openldap-2.1.30

To compile samba I ran:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba-3.0.4 --with-configdir=/var/samba/conf
We got a result with the following:
Ben,
In smb.conf I changed
security=SHARE to security=USER(see new smb.conf manpage)
This works for everyone if encrypt passwords = no is also set.
If encrypt passwords = yes is set, then it only works if you add your
username/passwd to the smbpasswd
I have configured samba 3.0.4 as follows:
./configure --with-krb5=/usr/local --with-automount --with-pam --with-utmp
--with-winbind --with-libsmbclient --with-netlib='-lresolv'
ran make and make install. When I run
./smbclient \\hostname\useraccount
I get the following:

had his hard drive swapped out. Desktop have said they all

Hi,
Can you, and if yes, map PC 's IP and MAC addresses to a UNIX box running
samba. A user who has just had his PC changed can no longer mount his
directory on the UNIX box, he gets the message access denied from this
location. Everyone else is ok. When he tries it on another PC it works. I
