Hi!
My Samba setup broke after upgrading Samba from 3.0.5-1 to 3.0.6-3 using
Debian apt-get upgrade. It seems to me, that the problems lies within
winbind. Any help would be appreciated!

My Samba stopped panicing, but refuses to authenticate. With default log

Hi!
The subject says it all, teamware email attachment browser sees the files
but fails to add them as attachments. Should I define some charsets to be
used and does it affect the files already on the network share?

Hi!
I had the same problem with wxp_sp1+officexp, but it went away after
patching with hotfixes. Check for DENY_WRITE or so from smbstatus -L. These
patches will be included in the next xp service pack to be released on the
first half of 2004.
Hi!
How can I maintain users old NT RIDs while migrating to Samba PDC when they
start from 1000. The RID to UID conversion algorithm is RID = 2 * UID + 1000
so the user with RID of 1000 would be root (0 * 2 + 1000 = 1000) on Unix.
Maintaining the old RIDs is essential for migrating on-the-fly,

Did you mapped all your groups ?

Hi!
I'm using Samba 3.0 pdc with Debian Woody, LDAP and ACL-support. ACL works
great, but if I try to ADD an acl-permission via windows security-tab there
is none to choose from. It shows that my domain is selected and there are
some basic users (Everyone, Authenticated users, CREATOR-OWNER

I'm setting up samba 3 + ldap to replace existing nt4-domain with old nt-SID

We seem to share a problem. If you solve this, please inform me and I'll do
the same. I am beginning to be a bit superstitious about this.

I do believe this is a bug in samba 3. If you use the same

Hi!
Can anyone tell how many users with different uids can you add to samba/gnu
