printer shares, and it seemed to be working fine (only live for a couple

I've running a Samba 3.04 (Backport) on Debian. Sometimes, when I use MS Word or MS
Excel and I wish to save as a File, then the prgramms hangs for a time of 30-60 sec.
. In the logfile I can see rows like:

write cache size = 131072
on a share, leads to corrupted files from some applications. Only one client is
accessing the file.
In particular with coreldraw this can be reproduced.
