[Samba] About NAS versus Samba

Hi ! QNAP TurboNas (our model number is TS-EC1279U-RP) do successfully the trick. Joined as a member to our S4 AD, we use it as a cifs server in a mixed environnement. The server is ssh opened, and the configuration files (ex : smb.conf) could be modified by hand or by an automated script.

I answer to myself, if that can eventually help any of you. If you use the Windows 7/ 2008 admin console, you'll be able to use the windows 7 / 2008 policies and GPOs. If you installed the admin console on windows XP/2003, you'll unfortunately be limited to the xp/2003 policies and GPOs.
