I guess I will just have to rework the script so it uses something else

Sorry, yeah, I have munged it.
I did some further checking and found it works fine for the 1 user which
is on the home domain. It's users from other trusted domains which are a
problem.

Is anyone really using workgroups? maybe most people use PDC's now, because
I am surprised no one could explain my questions:
- What does domain logons = yes do when using workgroups, not PDC?
- Does SambaGroupType matter when using workgroups?
Thanks for any help,

Hi,
We have a Windows 2003 R2 server (Enterprise, 64-bit, SP2) and for some reason,

I can add the printer to the system, all drivers are available, but any

hi,
i'm experiencing a strange behaviour when setting ACL from Windows XP

I would advise against using Samba 3.0.28a if you are using domain
trusts. I spent weeks trying to configure trusts with 3.0.28a and it
didn't work. I went back to samba 3.0.26a and it worked like a charm.

Is it possible to have sshd and smb running on the same box accessing
different trees? if we configure /etc/ldap.conf to point to one tree,
and /etc/samba/smb.conf point to another tree, samba stops
authenticating users and creating machine trust accounts.
Is there a workaround for this?

Hi,
Yes, downgrading to 3.0.28 has resolved the issue.
The errors in my logs were the same as those in bug 5350:

For me this was a windows bug and not a samba bug. Apparently windows
remembers every printer you ever had connected to your machine and for
every operation that brings up a print dialog it tries to contact all
of these printers even though the printer has been deleted
Has anyone ever seen this before? I was at a friends place of business,
and he wanted me to look at something, an I noticed this...
I'm guessing this is somehow related to uPnP or something like that...
Every workstation that has any printers attached - and they are NOT
shared - are automatica
Hey list,
Recently I've gotten my Samba PDC to successfully use an OpenLDAP

However, Samba appears to incorrectly handle responses from LDAP's
