As a Big Data consultant ; you will be responsible to design and develop
and maintain multiple big data utilities that automate various aspects of

Design and build and maintain framework to implement security policies and
requirements to mask, redact and encrypt based on the data classifications

Hadoop Developer with ETL and PL/SQL

Location: Wilmington, DE

Length: 1 year with the option to extend  (If you work at Barclays you can
be here for years )

Position:  ETL/ Hadoop team lead



Notes:   The hiring VP needs a Team Lead.  This position would be 75% Hands
on work and 25% functional / leadership

Now Barclays is in the process of implementing Big Data with Hadoop. There
is no architecture experience needed. They have a team doing that.  He
wants a Big data guy that came from ETL (Oracle PL/SQL ) etc and moved into
Hadoop.   Person would be the Sr Hadoop resource on his team.

MUST HAVE SPARK  --- TO SUME THINGS UP this person needs both PL/SQL
and Hadoop experience. Know right now  it will be about 75% PL/SQL and 25%
Hadoop but over the next year to year or year and ½ it will be trasitioning
more to Hadoop and eventually 80% Hadoop and 20% Pl/SQL



He wants a person with 10 years plus of experience in datawarehouse so I
need people that come from that side of the house and not java developers
that moved in Hadoop



 10+ years of technical experience, hands-on development. Lead technical
design for the domain, working closely with engineers. Work across
engineering teams.

Senior code author and craftsman, this engineer will be responsible for
code delivery in a timely and accurate fashion, and the overall review and
guidance of sprint and epic goals.  This engineer is expected to produce a
high volume of quality code, and to serve as the primary custodian of the
code branch and merge process.  This engineer is expected to be well read
and constantly identifying new technology and techniques for introduction
into ecosystem. Can deliver one to several epics (3 months, $500K) leading
up to 10 resources. Capable of being a Solutions engineer on multiple
projects focusing on designing, architecting major complex systems.

Coding Expectation - up to 70% of time



Software Design, Programming and Unit Testing

•Strong database (Oracle) skills including database design,
development (packages, functions, procedures)

•Strong data warehousing and OLTP system knowledge from
database/ETL development perspective.

•Database code performance tuning skills required

•Designing software modifications from supplied requirements and
design specifications using agreed standards and tools, achieving
well-engineered results that follow the agreed implementation level
software architectures.

Project Lead and Team Lead.

•Raise awareness when existing code, systems or processes do not
meet current quality expectations and standards.

•Maintain code and all related artifacts in source control; perform
code merges and resolve conflicts as defined by development process, update
documentation and automated tests.

•Develop code, configuration files, build scripts, schemas or other
artifacts  as assigned by Team Lead.

•Develop system integration test to verify the code running in its
functional environment.

We are looking for a Developer with 6-8 years Java experience and 6+ months
of NoSQL and/or Hadoop experience.

The Core Java experience is key to this role and we will be screening for
this so keep this in mind when submitting.



Strong experience of at least 6 to 8 years in core Java Platforms.

Strong experience in Data Structures - Map, Set, List, Binary Tree and
Algorithms - Sort, Search, Merge etc.

Very strong on Java programming and understanding of Collections,
Multithreading

Exposure to Maven/Ant, Git along with Shell Scripting for Build and
Deployment Process.

6+ months of NoSQL or Hadoop platform experience

Exposure to Hive, Pig, Sqoop or Flume is a plus

Immediate Need For Hadoop Developer - Interview And Start ASAP!!

Job Title: Hadoop Developer
Location: Dublin, OH
Duration: 6-12+ Months

Job Description:
Hadoop deployment  administration Architect with 8+ years of experience
with good communication skills
Deployment Architecture definition and documentation for a Hadoop based
production environment that can scale to petabytes
Deploy, administer and manage Hadoop Software on large cluster
implementations
Install and configure Hadoop based monitoring tools
At least 2-3 years of dedicated development experience in Java-Mapreduce,
Hive, PIG, Sqoop, Flume, HBASE, Cassandra, MangoDB, CouchDB
At least 2 years of experience in working in VLDB (Very large DataBase)
environment.
Should be able to define code pieces, components required to implement a
use-case and also be able to do quick evaluation of tools for POC and
provide demos to customer teams.

Good To have Skills:
Well versed in installing  managing Cloudera distribution of Hadoop (CDH3,
CDH4,Cloudera manager, MapR, Hortonworks etc.)
