years experience This project will be building metadata for WLN features:

Contract Informatica Developer on the Cobalt Content MetaDoc team
responsible for designing and developing the ETL solutions used for parsing
and populating the metadata block used for enhancing online Search
functionality.

Specific responsibilities/tasks include:
• Implement Informatica B2B and Power Center solutions, while following
established best practices.
• Serve as mentor to internal developers in the area of Informatica and ETL
• Participate in the full life-cycle of software development; including
analysis, design, implementation and testing of new projects and features
using ETL solution and Informatica.
• Help tune overall ETL performance.
• Assist with installation, configuration, deployment, reporting and
monitoring of Informatica.
• Identify process and technology practices related to ETL that can improve
efficiency and add business value.

Skills required include:
• Specific, strong experience with designing, developing, tuning,
installing and configuring Informatica B2B and Power Center.
• Experience with XML.
• Experience with relational database technologies (Oracle preferred).
• Optional experience tuning relational databases and PL/SQL for optimal
performance

Skill level must be at the Senior Software Engineer level.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- At least 5 years of experience implementing *ETL* solutions using *
Informatica* is required. An experience with Microsoft SSIS is an added
plus.
- Devices or Modifies procedures to solve complex application problems
displaying a problem solving capability.
- Must be proficient in working with *SQL* Server 2005, 2008 environments.
- Should have experience working in Data warehousing environments with multi
terabytes of data.
- Should be competent to work at the highest technical level in all phases
of Application Programming activities.
- Should be proficient in Designing, Coding, Testing, Debugging and
documenting the developed application components.
- Should have experience in designing or participating in the
Design/Architecture activities of Data Warehouse data automation solutions.
- Prior Experience in Microsoft development platforms (.NET Framework, C#,
ASP.NET), VBScript, Java Script is very desirable.
- Prior Experience with BI tools such as Cognos is a plus.
- Prior experience in Columnnar DBs such as Paraccel, Veritca, etc is a
plus.
