Ugh... The cgit project list was broken since the IP migration. Thanks for
that report. Fixed. You should have cgit working now.

[savannah-help-public] [sr #109628] Initial upload to git repository fails

2019-01-18 Thread Marc Nieper-Wißkirchen
Follow-up Comment #2, sr #109628 (project administration):

Thank you very much, Bob.

Now I have been able to push the initial code to the repository. Cloning from
the repository also works.

The thing that doesn't yet work is the git browser:
http://git.savannah.nongnu.org/cgit/gccjit-guile.git

Do I have to wait, do something else, or is it supposed to work?

Thanks again,

Marc

Follow-up Comment #1:

That is strange. You have checked the box. That should have triggered the
creation of the repository okay. As recently as two days ago a new repository
was created in that way. I don't see why it isn't being created automatically.
You have done everything correctly.

I created the repository manually. Will figure this out without you needing to
wait for that part of things. Thank you for submitting a ticket to get this
fixed.

Please let us know that you are using it so that we will know it you are good
to go.

Details:

After having enabled the git repository on my new project's site, set up my
ssh keys and waiting for some hours, I get the following error when trying to
initially upload the sources:

$ git push --all mnie...@git.savannah.nongnu.org:/srv/git/gccjit-guile.git
fatal: '/srv/git/gccjit-guile.git' does not appear to be a git repository

Most likely, it is caused by a stupid mistake of myself, but I'm lost at the
moment.

Thanks,

Marc
