Following weeks of speculation, including a possibility that production
could move to Edmonton, Alberta, SciFi Channel has officially pulled the
plug on The Dresden Files,
So it looks like what you WANT to do is produce a series of Sci Fi original
movies, because THAT fund never dries up and you're obviously not held to a
standard of, oh, I don't know...being any good. Companies are trying to
deliver hour-long series to Skiffy/USA, and it ain't working.

I'd laugh, but then I think to the first season of Enterprise, when they kept
finding reasons to get the crew in the decontamination rubdown chamber, where
they stripped down to their skivvies and rubbed decontaminant on each other
like some Playboy video. And of course, there was Seven of Nine
I'm sitting up late night unable to sleep (horrible news from back home,
boarding a plane in a few) and of course I need a scifi fix/distraction, so I
watch Painkiller Jane after Doctor Who. Bad as that show is, they have the
nerve tonight to do with is basically a clip show. A thin skein of
