Maybe there is another control room that is exposed to open space? Also, if
it has been floating through space for 100,000 years why hasn't it been
boarded by other space fairing species? And if it hasn't been there before,
how did the gate get there? (or was that done by other drones?)

copy has yielded mixed results. If I was not so desperate for a scifi fix, I
