All the emo bands on earth have terrible names. Just a thought. A very
fitting (and cool) name is Built to Spill. Could they be called anything
else?..

I dont even need to hear the band to know exactly what they sound like. I
also assume most people listening to Sunny Day right now are people who still
find Weezer to be interesting. 16 year old girls with thick rimmed glasses.
Thank you all, take care.

You are right, I should unsubscribe, how do you do this? Sorry to anyone who
was offended. And for me, its not about the popularity of bands, that doesnt
make them uncool. I loved Weezer when they were popular, they put out a much
less than stellar CD, and I dont like them, its not too hard
You are all wrong, it will never happen. Meatloaf, for example, has a much
larger fan base. He was easily one of the highest selling artists of the 70s.
I actually think his first CD holds some sort of record for albums sold by a
debut artist. The BTM that made me wonder was Aimee Mann. So who
"TRT wasnt for you. It was for them. Bands of
Sunny Day's size don't make albulms for anyone aside from themselves. Either
suck it up and respect them for the amazing music they make, or dont listen
to the cd."
What the hell is that all about? I dont care what band you are in, you
dont
I really like the conversations that are going on in this list. There has
been some talk of people complaining about people being elitist and indie,
well, I have to say something about it. From my posts I may come off as an
indie elitist bastard, but I like to think Im different. Im different
Granted, there are a million bands copying "Diary" out there, and that's just
sad. Emo music, to me, is terrible. You claim "The Rising Tide" is Sunny Day
maturing, then you may be right. If Sunny Day going from being influenced by
Fugazi to listening to and nearly directly copying bands like
I have been a Sunny Day fan since Diary. It was the best CD i had ever heard
in my life. Until How It Feels came out. That still stands out to me as the
best Sunny Day CD. When TRT came out, I felt like I had been betrayed. That
isnt just Sunny Day's worst CD, its a terrible CD for any other
Another thought: If I were in a band, and I constantly heard people yelling
out songs from 3 albums ago, I would get kinda depressed. The only two Sunny
Day shows I have been to, people yelled for pretty much every song on Diary,
and a few off the Pink CD, and that was it! If I were in Sunny
Hey, here is my two cents. Its like this: When you are at a show, you
probably love the band a lot. So any song they play will usually make you
happy. But then there are those people there who only know the song on the
radio. And while Sunny Day wasn't ever really big, "Seven" was the closest
I heard them on our metal station when How It Feels came out. Not only did
they play them, they played the first three songs in a row. Very odd. This is
a station who plays Ozzy and Megadeath. Oh well.

I was wondering what people 10 favorite bands other than Sunny Day are. I
know it has been done before, i just want to stay current. I also want to
know what your 5 least favorite bands are. Reply only to me and I will tally
them up. Dont respond to the list. THANKS
matthew
I played "How it Feels" for my brother last summer and he said "That
sounds exactly like Jane's Addiction". I was first off pissed, cause I just
remembered "Been Caught Stealing". Then he played me this song called "3
Days" off the CD "Ritual De Lo Habitual", and I have to say, in that
They are owned by a major, not sure which one tho. I know someone who works
for Timebomb, so not only will I ask them about it, I will ask em about
future release dates, and specifics.

GO SEE MAGNOLIA!!!
Let me say I have seen Sunny Day twice, and both times they played exactly
like they did on the live CD and video. People complain he doesnt scream.
People say that is what is wrong with How It Feels, I think that is what is
right with it. His voice is much more beautiful when he isnt
