[sdre-l]: RE: video footage

2001-01-12 Thread Christopher D Gacek

Does anybody have any video footage from any of the 2000 shows? I find it
hard to believe that no shows were filmed. Write me for trade offers if
you have anything.

Chris

"conclusion"? Anybody have any guesses? It's funny, but that's all I can
get out of it... Also--who do you think is under there?

I don't think it's supposed to mean anything, short of scary music being
played while a maniac in a hockey mask plays with mic stands. What was the
point of any of the videos? There was none other than to be fun and enjoyable.

ps - i'm almost possitive it was Will under the mask

pps - I pray to God almighty in heaven that that orchastra bit from the
?3rd? video is going to be on the album as I heard it. That was was one of
the most moving things I have ever heard. I'll guess I'll find out at
todays listening party.(that is, if I find out what time I'm supposed to be
there.)

[sdre-l]: the video

1999-10-27 Thread LayneWould

But to be completely honest, I can
see why the band might have wanted to do something different with
the video, it's a bit lackluster in production, a good show, but I
think the band would have wanted to do something more artsy, a la Meeting
 People is Easy.

Yeah that would be cool if they did something to that effect. That's what I
like about "Meeting People Is Easy," it's like home video meets art film
student. It's really cool. I picked up the SDRE live video yesterday but
havent had time to watch it yet. Perhaps tonight or tomorrow. I've heard the
live CD about four times at work now [I work in a record store] so eventually
I'll buy it. It's a VERY good CD..gives me chills up my spine :o)

Also, I'd just like to say that I really like the artwork for the live
CD/video. I like the sketchiness of it...I like sketches because they just
hint at what the picture is, the artist is just getting the idea down, and
that's why I like the art for the album. It's just simple and cool. I like
the artwork in "Diary" a lot, there's something sort of manic about the
artwork: happy Little People in meloncholy atmospheres. I like the cover for
HIFTBSO a lot :o) Just cool. Anyway, that's what I wanted to say...some input
from an artist and all.

Um yeah, so that's all I wanna say for now :o)

Peace,
Kris.

n/p: Nothing, even though I just bought 10 CDs or something. Hmm. Employee
discounts are groovy.

[sdre-l]: live video and cd

1999-09-01 Thread Kev

Anyone got any ideas on when they'll be available in the u.k? I'm not sure
how it works exactly, especially as the availability of sdre stuff round
here is poor. The nearest big record store has only got a couple of copies
of their albums (not LP2 though) since my mate ordered them last year.
cheers,

This reminded me, my friend has seen the pillars video on MTV. I was just
wondering if anyone else has seen it. I wish I HAD SEEN IT Also, I was
wondering if anyone could give me some firm news about Jeremy wanting to do
one of his next solo albums on Tooth and Nail or something. That's just what
I heard I'd like to get some foundation on it.

everyones knocking the new live stuff saying this and that but oh don't get
me wrong i love sdre ect... Keep in mind these shows were taped at towards
the end of a very long tour. I've seen a few shows of sdre and some of the
shows the scratchy dirty scream voice was there and others it wasn't. Jeremy
voice is still great anyway and the songs vocal melodies and hooks are still
unbelievable wheather he''s screaming or not. I guess this record just wasn't
that big for me because they were songs that I have known for along time its
not like the excitement of new material. But hopefully that won't be too far
away.
