My '89 Lancer Shelby gas gauge was stuck on empty so I had the fuel pump
sending unit replaced. It worked except that the needle stopped just a little
below half full. Thinking that the device was faulty I had it replaced with
another and the same thing happens - the gauge works from full to

I am thinking of changing to a 16 valve setup, but am having a hard time
finding
With which intake, radiator, and hood? :)
The intake is the big issue in my mind. I need to get a 420a
(eclipse/avenger) intake and see how the clearance is on the hood and
radiator...
It will point toward the passenger side bug that is what I want anyway to
reduce the intercooler piping.
a home made intake manifold, and a friend of mine in Quebec has done the
passenger side TB already ;)

Your setup doesn't count as the engine fitting in the car.
Your setup could more accurately be described as, making the car
fit around the engine.

Everything you see would still clear a stock firewall assuming a stock gas
tank was used ;) Even that holset is far enough away from where firewall
would be

Ok. :) The intake wouldn't clear many radiators from the looks of
things. That is the thing I worry about the most for when I start my 2.4
conversion.
Good work keep us posted on your results!
BTW: Is a guy named Garret allowed to use a Holset turbo? ;)

For the price I paid, we should all use holset turbos, and yes this intake
manifold I made will clear a stock radiator as well. Even the stock Stratus
2.4 intake will clear an omni rad, HOWEVER you will have to use a slim fan
or a pusher fan

The u-joint is just a small Dodge V-8 driveshaft u-joint.
The only other wear part is the rubber mount.
Do not believe it is available separate? Anyone?

I did a mock up a while back to test fit a few parts. The large NPR will fit
with the tabs ground off and the stock rad fits back in front of it. The
DOHC head bolts to the block and with the mexican 2.4 turbo exhaust manifold
the HY35 Holset bolts up and had more room than a T3 with a 8v head.
