I for one am in favor of this legislation. I currently live in Alabama,
and I would like to see my state pass just such a law. I live near a
dragstrip out in the county just North of Huntsville (a city of about
375,000).

I couldn't agree more! Of course, part of the problem I see as well, is
something that has been discussed earlier in this thread, and that's the
reduction in the number of tracks. The owners of the Nashville Superspeedway
were supposed to be building a new 1/4 mile track
