inside IDE. How do I find java version? Getting pretty bad extended
mouse delays after 20 or so clicks in a row.

Just made a test (runs 5 minutes)
SikuliX 1.1.1
macOS 10.13.2
Java 1.8 latest
run from within IDE
click and type
... and got no problems with extended delays
