When ionic silver dries, it oxidizes into brownish to black silver oxide.
Hydrogen peroxide sometimes cuts it, otherwise, soft scrub.
It will most definitely stain a coffee filter, so yea, watch the sheets.
So long as it doesn't dry out, you're OK.

Just got a COM-100, EC/TDS/TEMP Combo Meter from SilverPuppy. Looks
like a real nice unit.
My question is, since it has 3 different scales apparently based on
different temperature compensation coefficients, which scale should I
use?
It appears that it is set on NaCl at this time.
By the way,
Hi, I am new to the list. I have suffered with Lyme disease for over 10 years.
Have been on antibiotics the entire time. I came accross information on
colloidal silver and Lyme Disease. I even read a few testimonies from people
that have tried CS for Lyme. The problem is all the testimonies

The only thing that is easily obtainable and will take them off is
H2O2. 3% should work fine.

Marshalee, thanks for your response. I'm assuming that you are symptom free of

Dear Heidi,
Hi, I`m Marshalee, in Provo, Utah. I`m an oldie but goodie on the Silverlist!
I had Lyme for six years, from 1990 to 1996, took Doxycycline the whole
time. Whenever I stopped taking it, I would suffer a relapse shortly
afterwards. Finally, we moved to Milwaukee and the

First of all CS is very effective against the Lyme spirochete. If you
use it in the first few days after being bit, recovery should be rapid
and complete. However the spirochetes are very good at hiding, and will
hide in areas of the body that CS simply does not reach or reach well,
such as the

next day, the stain was more faint, so I did the same thing again...it took me

You could try using hydrogen peroxide to remove those stains -- also you
could try silver cleaner. MA
I believe that the staining is from two factors. The colloidal component
depositing pure silver particles, and the molecular ionic component
breaking down when it drys out reducing to metalic silver as well. If
it were simply silver oxide, that would be easy to remove with plain old
water since
I wonder how H2O2 with baking soda in it would work. The H2O2 converts the
metallic silver to sparingly soluble silver oxide (and back again), but as soon
as it is converted to silver oxide, the baking soda reacts with it making
silver carbonate, which is very soluble, and locks it in so it
With apologies to the off-topic post, I'm wondering if there's anybody on this
list who lives in the Houston, TX area. I have something I need to check out
down there, and would really appreciate it if someone who lives down there
could help me out. If you're willing to talk to me on this,
Hello Marshallee!
Some years ago you kindly sent me instructions for making and using CS. I have
passed them on to many of my friends and gave away the last copy I had. Is
there a chance that you have this on file somewhere so you could send it to me
again? My e-mail address is:
Marshall, thanks for your response. Right now I'm taking 14ppm three times
daily. I think I might be gettting a mild herx coming on. Its hard to tell
with Lyme. before I started taking this I had been having a bad couple of weeks
and felt much better after starting this. I have read
I hate to contradict you Marshall, but H202 doesn't get the stains off
my countertops at all. They are old formica.
Scrubbing with baking soda does the trick here.

Then most likely the stains are silver sulfide instead of metallic silver.

Wait, I was too hasty. I realized when I got back to my computer after trying
