Wayne, Well.maybe I am reaching a little on this but let me give my reasoning. I did not find info on direct measurements of the pH in the stomachs of dogs. But the duodenum is adjacent to the stomach and the stomach empties directly into the duodenum. The source of any acid within the duodenum
