Since CS and the immune system work in entirly different ways it would be a good idea here to make a distiction.
IMO
CS does not strengthen the immune system. It works 'along side' it doing what the immune system does in an entirely different manner and ONLY on single celled organisms.

My evidence on strengthening immune systems is anecdotal, but it says
something: I have a very weakened immune system, the result of surfing for 20
years on a California creek mouth surf break later determined to be one of the
five most dangerously polluted beaches
