Dear Jeannine, What is the purpose of the olive oil? If you've already got a gel, I'd just spread that on liberally. Abandon the Q-tip and use your hands! It should help with the inflammation, swelling, circulation, and pain. Beyond that I don't know enough to advise you in terms of any
