Hi All, thought I would put my 2 cents into this discussion. I just tried a new coconut 'milk' I picked up at the supermarket last week. I thought it would taste like coconuts, but was quite surprised to find that there was virtually NO taste of coconut whatsoever. I used it in my hot chocolate

Let me make that three cents! I have used coconut cream instead of dairy milk for two or three years now. I don't like it as much as dairy, but it works fine and helps me avoid dairy in coffee and tea. I use Ayam brand mostly, though the other brands with additives are very user friendly

Good point too check, Melly. Are you saying most rice bran oils are hydrogenated, or oils generally. I don't know why they would hydrogenate it - wouldn't that tend to make it solid? Anyway, I too avoid hydrogenated stuff, so I did a google, and found this:
