If he really did do an "apt-get build-essential" and still can't find
sys/cdefs.h, it's possible that debian/ubuntu screwed up and only included
it in the 32-bit build environment on ubuntu 14.04. There's at least some
google evidence to this effect. This is a non-issue in 18.04, as
sys/cdefs.h is
That google response isn't quite right. You didn't say what version of
ubuntu. I'm running 18.04.1 LTS, and sys/cdefs.h is at
/usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/sys/cdefs.h. The package manager tells me
that it's part of the libc6-dev:amd64 package:
% dpkg -S /usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/sys/cdefs.h
Yes. Depending on context, one would use either of FNDELAY, O_NDELAY, or
O_NONBLOCK, for clarity.
In reality, they all mean the same thing.
See /usr/include/x86_64-linux-gnu/bits/fcntl-linux.h to see why that is.
In the case of android, try O_NONBLOCK, or try using ioctl instead of fcntl
(FNDELAY
Volume-down is the Control key in termux. Holding volume-down and hitting
the 'e' key works just fine.

That's great! Was this the same book by David Ahl?

Try typing "passive" after you log in, to toggle passive ftp mode (whether
the client or server establishes the data channel).
That may make a difference.

Just as an aside, Ray, I'm on HECnet and run several emulated systems 24/7
(TOPS-20, RSTS/E, and OpenVMS). TOPS-20 is klh10, and RSTS/E and OpenVMS
are simh. I offer guest accounts, and ask for nothing in return.

I personally don't recall there ever being a less for v7. more, ex, vi, and
csh were on a tape image of UCB tools, if you can find that.

I'm reminded of "RSTS/E Monitor Internals" by Michael Mayfield from 1983.
Of course the information therein is "unsupported", but it's a treasure
trove for v8 users.

I've been running TOPS-20 on KLH10 for years, and I get the same error.
I had e-mailed MRC about it years ago, and he said it was harmless, so I
just ignore it.
Never looked into the root cause, personally.

I guess no one's heard of "SIMH for Android" in the google play store?
I've been using it for a few years, but there's no network support.

IMD was the ImageDisk file format, a PC DOS utility.
If you were able to track it down, you could likely run it on DOSBox.

I've been an XKLeTen user for a bunch of years, so it would definitely be
uncool if this and other museum awesomeness were negatively affected by a
billion-dollar parent company not allocating enough budget to the right
people.
