Greetings,
Has anyone had success (or unresolvable failure) getting a simh VAX to run
on an ec2 machine?
We're following the bridging instructions but running into an issue where
the MAC addresses used by the VAX are not routing into EC2 network...
Any thoughts/suggestions to get this to work?
Any examples on how to setup vax/vms in simh for NAT?

Greetings,
I'm migrating a VMS 6.2 system from real hardware to simh VAX.
We're running on EC2 so DECnet's a no go.
We've disabled the DECnet startup on the system, but when I turn on tracing
I see:
DBG(42740138541)+> XQ ETH: writing dst: 02:41:0C:98:92:09 src:
AA:00:04:00:20:10 proto: 0x0800
to not try and change the MAC address.

Yes. But no longer needed. LAT startup has been commented out.

Greetings,
How do I get simh's vax simulator to boot into a disk image.
Right now I get the ">>>" prompt and then I need to type "boot dua0"
Thanks,
Bill

I'm the co-manager of the SCons project and would be willing to assist.

I have more than 5 years experience with SCons and usually problems are
caused by not understanding how it works.
That said, CMake is popular.
I've used both, have more experience with SCons.
Didn't mean to derail the thread, but thought if cmake didn't run on alpha..

Greetings,
Anyone want a copy of:
* VAX/VMS Operation System Concepts
* Version 5.2 VAX/VMS Internals and Data Structures
* DECNET Phase V
I'm cleaning out my bookshelves and would rather get them to someone who
wants them than throw them in the trash.
Just pay cost of shipping and their yours.
