I would like to have non-continuous events in timeline. Imagine some
kind of scheduling algorithm like round-robin. An event would have
multiple tapes and multiple start end dates. I was thinking in
implementing in painter the ability to have n start and end dates,
adding multiple tapes
I am curious about how screen readers work/don't work with simile
exhibits.
I think the consensus is, to be accessible (to both visually impaired
and search engines), you pretty much have to have a static rendering
or traditional search/results version of your exhibit data.

You are correct. Exhibit has the _potential_ to be much _better_ for
screen readers than typical static pages, because the exhibit markup
indicates more about the roles of various elements (think how a screen
reader could present a facet as a list of selectable values, or of an
audio lens

I'm relatively new to Exhibit and this is my first post. However, I
have done my due diligence and spent a week or so weaving through the
MIT, simile-widgets, and googlegroups pages as I try to get some
footing on my first project. Please excuse my newcomer ignorance if my
questions are too
