[Slackbuilds-users] po4a about to update

2023-01-03 Thread B. Watson

Heads up, maintainers of bibletime, kicad-doc, and tilix:

https://git.slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/commit/?h=urchlay=12cdcc3be3ce058d393933b69fd81be59ea5d05d

I checked all the builds that depend on it:

https://slackbuilds.org/advsearch.php?stype=revdep=po4a

All of them build fine with the new po4a. It's only used for
translation, e.g. non-English documentation or man pages... since I
can't read anything but English, I can't say whether anything's wrong
with the non-English docs.

You guys might want to check this out in case I missed something in
my testing. If you don't feel like dorking around with git, you can
just get the new source from:

https://github.com/mquinson/po4a/releases/download/v0.69/po4a-0.69.tar.gz

...and run "VERSION=0.6.9 sh po4a.SlackBuild"

15.0 has 3.0.5 so We don't need the patch for now.

but consider that SBo supports only the latest Slackware stable so
also this kind of reports are actually a bit OT: if you want to keep
report them in this mailing list be careful to specify always that
they apply only to current (so that people that may want to skip them
could), otherwise the best place for them, IMHO, besides writing
directly to the maintainers, is the dedicated LQ topic.

I wish you had said that in your original post. It would have saved me
half an hour of testing on 15.0.

Also... you're listed as maintainer of haruna. Does "I run current"
mean you don't test haruna on 15.0?

*Of course not. It works fine on 15.0
As I said, and for people like me who install some SB on Current, I just
want to make sure it works on Current too before I submit it.
It's not blocking. The 0.10.0 version has just been released, I have
until the next merge, at least, to see what it gives

It also crashs here when launched via Dolphin

Can someone test it, to see if it's just me or not?

It works for me, built using the existing haruna.SlackBuild with
VERSION=0.10.0 in the environment. I did this on a 64-bit Slackware
15.0 box with tons of SBo packages installed... and on 32-bit
Slackware 15.0 VM with nothing installed except haruna and its
dependencies.

I even tried naming a file the same as yours, in case the problem was
caused by having a unicode character é in the path, but no problem.

Does it crash for you with every video, or just that one?

Does it crash for you if you run it by itself, with no argument?

*Every video

*Does it crash for you if you run it by itself, with no argument?
*Yes
It crashes on reading, whatever the file is (mkv, mpeg, etc...) and
whatever the session I use (x11, wayland)

I noticed it doesn't crash when I read a youtube URL

The only difference between you & me, is that I run Slackware current
not 15.0

So, it will be helpful if someone could test on -current
