I'm not sure what you mean by pathetic. Australia has a huge number of NTP servers, especially stratum 2 and 3 (we may even have a few stratum 1's). All the large ISPs will have at least 2 or 3. A large number of universities also have them. They are out there, but granted it is sometimes
