I had one missing after a reboot ones and did not lose data, it was a
clean reboot so I guess all data got flushed properly before shutdown.
It may just be OK.

That is correct (at least i thought the same)
The zones pool seems to imported OK. But it is DEGRADED.
It is save to remove the log and cache? And what is best practice?
And now I have it back, where do I go now?
Do I need to rewrite /usb?
Van: Jorge Schrauwen
Ok, i removed the log and cache device and the pool is healthy again
Where to go now?
Sorry for my hasty mails, but I have quite some important data on my drives and
it’s 0:33 in the night. I need to wake up at 7:00 tomorrow ;-)
I appreciate all help very much.

For some reason c2d0p3 and c2d0p2 are not available tot the zones zpool. But I
can see them in /dev/dsk/
What is the best way to restore them?
Can I do “zpool online c2d0p3” ?

Slow down a take a deep breadth.. There, that's better.
Now for a couple of questions:
What is the output from zpool import?
What type of SSD do you have?
How

Running an MTA often not just about the MTA. Really depends on your skill
set etc if you have happy running postfix+rest on Smartos vs postfix+rest
on Ubuntu or similar.

Ok, sorry for this speedy post. But I seem to be logged in.
Now how can I try to import my zones?

On Wed,
Same here 00:36 :)
If the pool is healthy
zpool export zones
reboot
Should do it.

I believe you cannot use sysctls inside LX. Those are normally for tuning and
frankly applications that directly use them in Linux are ill behaved. Sadly
it's all too common in Linux land. LX doesn't emulate this interface.
You shouldn't need to use these at all as the kernel underneath has
Sorry about this reply ... for whatever reason, my email client didn't

So, this email is pointless! as was the last one, please just ignore.

Naw, I think you'll be fine. ZFS can sustain the loss of the ZIL and
cache devices - they just rollback to being on-disk. Your data should
actually be there, safe and sound. Your status is listed as Degraded,
which is as it sounds - there's a ZIL missing, so it won't have SSD to
use as ZIL
Just out of curiosity. Why do you use a LX zone for postfix. Any special
reason for that?

I'm sorry. I haven't tested Postfix on SmartOS.
I use Communigate but had to cheat a little. Since it has only solaris PKG
format installer I first installed it on OpenIndiana and copied all files to
SmartOS.
It runs very well.

It would also be useful to get the platform image version. Could you do a
/native/sbin/uname -a and paste the output?

I tried to update my SmartOS install to the latest version.
It seems to work well, but when I rebooted my server from USB it starts
asking all questions like it was a new installation.
What must I do
Can I proceed the questionary?
